Pinseekers TM was created by Joey Anders in 2015. Joey is a Teaching Professional at Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas, TX.
Joey envisioned bringing the golf game to golfers of all ages, regardless of skill level of experience. Golf can sometimes be a frustrating sport, Pinseekers aims to tailor the game to each unique level of golfer. Golfers are given a number of rewards and incentives as they progress in the program.
Initially, golfers receive a Pinseekers hat a their first tournament. Every player tees off from 100 yards at their first tournament.
Subsequently, golfers can earn a new hat pin for a variety of achievements. For example, the first time they earn certain score, form each tee distance, a scoring pin is awarded as follows; 54 Scoring Pin, 49 scoring Pin, 44 Scoring Pin, 39 Scoring Pin. These pins can be earned 1 time at each tee box distance.
Medals are awarded for 1st & 2nd place (each age group) at every tournament.
Each session (5-6 tournaments), the overall score for each golfer is compiled and a trophy is awarded for 1st place (one per age group)
As the player progresses , the golfer's score improves. Eventually, the player scores a 39 or less, indicating the golfer is ready to "level up", and a Level Up Pin is awarded. After scoring a 39 or below, the golfer's progress is noted. At the next tour event, the golfer will be moved back to the next set of tees (150 yards, 200 yards, etc). It is in this fashion each golfer can improve their skills and work their way up in the program. By setting attainable goals and milestones for each ability level, players get to enjoy their "success markers" as they progress along in the program.. The pins, medals and trophies provide incentives to keep the golfers motivated to compete and have fun while they improve their game.
